פוסט 4: חלק הכתיבה (Writing) – כתיבה לעולם הדיגיטלי והאקדמי החדש

הגענו לחלק השלישי של מבחן TOEFL החדש - חלק הכתיבה. אם בעבר חלק הכתיבה היה דורש מכם לשבת ולכתוב חיבורים ארוכים, הרי שבגרסת 2026 מבחן TOEFL החדש עושה שינוי משמעותי בכל הקשור בחלק הכתיבה. חלק הכתיבה החדש אורך כ-23 דקות בלבד, והוא מורכב מ-12 משימות שונות שבודקות מגוון רחב של כישורי הבעה בכתב – החל מרמת המשפט הבודד ועד להשתתפות בדיון אקדמי מורכב.

הפילוסופיה של המבחן החדש ברורה: בחיים האמיתיים כסטודנטים או כאנשי מקצוע, רוב הכתיבה שלכם תהיה דיגיטלית, קצרה ואינטראקטיבית. אתם תכתבו פוסטים בפורומים של הקורס, תשלחו אימיילים למרצים ותתמצתו רעיונות. לכן, המבחן החדש בודק אם אתם מסוגלים להעביר מסר בצורה מדויקת, דקדוקית ובעלת טון מתאים.

מה כולל חלק הכתיבה ? שלוש משימות:

2. כתיבת אימייל (Write an Email)

כאן תתבקשו לכתוב הודעה קצרה (כ-50 עד 100 מילים) המגיבה לסיטואציה ספציפית בקמפוס. המשימה בודקת אם אתם יודעים להתאים את רמת הרשמיות (Register) לנמען.

Your classmate, Sarah, was responsible for organizing a group presentation schedule. You just realized that your group was assigned a presentation date that conflicts with an important exam you have on the same day. You need to inform Sarah about the problem and ask if any changes can be made.

Write an email to Sarah. In your email, do the following:

Explain the scheduling conflict clearly.

Describe why the date is a problem for you.

Suggest possible solutions.

3. כתיבה לדיון אקדמי (Writing for Academic Discussion)

A professor has posted a question about a topic, and students have responded with their thoughts and ideas. Make a contribution to the discussion.

You will have 10 minutes to write.

Your professor is teaching a class on education. Write a post responding to the professor’s question.

In your response, you should do the following:

Express and support your opinion.

Make a contribution to the discussion in your own words.

An effective response will contain at least 100 words.

Professor’s post:

Today we are discussing the role of technology in education. Many people believe that technology improves learning by increasing access to information and making lessons more engaging. Others argue that too much technology can be distracting and reduce students’ ability to focus and think critically. Which view do you agree with more, and why?

Student 1 (Sara):

I think technology has a very positive effect on education because it allows students to learn at their own pace and access many resources online. It can also make learning more interactive and interesting.

Student 2 (Mike):

In my opinion, technology can be harmful if it is overused. Students may become distracted, and they might rely too much on devices instead of developing strong thinking and problem-solving skills.

While I appreciate Sara’s point regarding accessibility, I strongly agree with Mike that the over-integration of technology in classrooms can be detrimental. Excessive reliance on digital tools often fosters "passive learning," where students prioritize finding quick answers on the internet rather than engaging in deep, critical analysis. Furthermore, digital devices are inherent sources of distraction. When students use tablets or laptops, the temptation to multitask with social media or unrelated websites significantly reduces their attention span. In my experience, traditional methods—such as handwritten note-taking and face-to-face debates—encourage much better retention and cognitive focus. Therefore, while technology has its place for research, educational institutions should prioritize tactile and interpersonal learning to ensure students develop the fundamental thinking skills necessary for long-term success.

טיפים להצלחה בכתיבה 2026

• דיוק על פני כמות: במבחן החדש, אין טעם לכתוב "מגילות". עדיף לכתוב 100 מילים מושלמות מבחינה דקדוקית מאשר 250 מילים מלאות בשגיאות.

• למדו את אמנות הקישור: במשימת הדיון האקדמי, השתמשו במילות קישור כמו Furthermore, In contrast, Consequently. זה מה שמפריע בין כותב "בינוני" לכותב ברמה של 6.0.

• הקלדה מהירה ומדויקת: מכיוון שהזמן קצר מאוד, יכולת ההקלדה שלכם באנגלית הופכת לקריטית. תרגלו כתיבה בלי להסתכל על המקלדת.
